Sorbo Coffee
About This Spot
Stepping into Sorbo Coffee feels like discovering a tucked-away haven amid the bustle of Wesley Chapel. The air hums with steady energy—a favorite rhythm for those who come seeking more than just a caffeine fix. It’s a place where the aroma of freshly ground coffee beans mingles seamlessly with the subtle scents of baked pastries, inviting both quiet moments of pause and gentle conversations over shared tables.
This coffee shop carries a warm, approachable vibe, where the hum of focused laptop taps blends effortlessly with the occasional laughter of friends reconnecting. Its inviting layout often draws a crowd of diligent remote workers alongside casual visitors, striking a lively balance that feels part communal workspace, part neighborhood sanctuary. The pace here is unhurried yet purposeful, as each cup and slice is crafted with care, inviting visitors to savor simple pleasures amid the flow of daily life.
For the matcha enthusiast, Sorbo is a quiet delight. Their range of matcha-infused creations, from vibrant lattes to delicate cakes, brings a fresh, nuanced touch to the usual coffee shop offerings. These thoughtfully balanced drinks—never too sweet, never overpowering—are a draw for both the curious and the devoted alike. Meanwhile, classic espresso-based drinks share the spotlight, each prepared with precision and presented with a gentle nod to tradition.
The pastry selection adds another layer of charm: buttery croissants and light cakes with just the right hint of sweetness create the perfect companion for an afternoon break. Whether you choose to settle in with a creamy coconut cake or savor a richly layered pistachio croissant, there’s an inviting warmth that extends beyond the food and drink to the very feeling of being cared for in this space.
Behind the counter, the staff carry an easy friendliness, guiding visitors through the menu with genuine enthusiasm and thoughtful recommendations. Their knowledge and warmth add a human touch that turns strangers into regulars, fostering a sense of belonging that spills from the barista bar into the seating area.

Sorbo Coffee is my favorite local coffee spot in town. I absolutely love their matcha strawberry latte. It’s so refreshing and perfectly balanced. The coconut cake and matcha cake are both super yummy, not too sweet, just right. It can get a little packed sometimes with people working on their laptops, but it’s still totally worth stopping by, especially for their to-go drinks. Such a cozy and charming local gem in the area!!!

Place is beautiful and amazing imported matcha! The cashier was so sweet and helpful with the menu and what to recommend. Matcha was perfect and beautiful! The matcha cake IS A MUST!! So yummy, not too sweet, not too bitter! Prices are fair and get a good amount for what you paid for quality!

Merry Christmas! Just visited this location with my fiance and his family for the holidays! My mother in law spoke highly of this coffee shop and I am so glad we got to try it out! We all ordered ube lattes and a caramel latte hot. The service was extremely fast and efficient. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable as well! The drinks were flavorful and unique! I loved my hot caramel latte because it was a perfect combination of sweet and bitter! Would highly recommend everyone to come try this coffee place out! Thank you again.

One of the best coffee spots in the area! They make the best flat white I’ve had in a long time. I was also surprised by how delicious their pastries are—my favorite is the pistachio croissant! The place has a really cool atmosphere with friendly staff. The only downside is that it’s always busy, so it can be hard to find a seat, but honestly, I understand why. Highly recommend for coffee lovers.

Lot of options for coffee. But more options for matcha lovers! Coffee was great and fast Service overall. The mango matcha was sweeter than I would've wanted. The place is pretty packed with people working on laptops, during the day. So it can get loud in here,.

Do not take this lightly, Sorbo is one of the best coffee and matcha cafes in Tampa Bay. This is in the upper tier of cafes along with the likes of Kalesia tea (though Kalesia doesnt do coffee like them and Sorbo does not have as much of a grip on black teas like Kalesia). If you visit both places, there is ample seating and a ton of people either studying or having a conversation over a cup. Sorbo’s espresso drinks are velvety and creamy and almost no other viet espresso/asian-based cafe imitates this. The coffee reminds of places like Da Vien in Little Saigon in Southern California (where the Fast and the Furious was filmed). Their matcha is top tier, they will not serve you older, irony-tasting matcha. Their pastries are also no slouch - I do not know if Sorbo bakes this or sources it but the baked goods go beyond standard fare and start diving into things like basque cheesecakes and youll see it paired with flavors like Ube! The vibes are also great. Many cafes try to throw up a grass wall, some ikea steel chairs, and call it a day. With Sorbo, the atmosphere creates a uniform chill vibe. The floor to walls are darkened. Theres a mix of tables, padded couches and chairs, and a communal table in the center that does not feel out of place or awkward to sit at. Many people stay for an hour+. I live over in the Westchase/Oldsmar area and I gladly make the 40 minute drive to Sorbo. I plan it around a day to visit the Outlet mall, the all abilities playground with my kid, Lotte Mart, etc.

This is the best matcha ube latte I have tried in Tampa so far. I am a big matcha fan and I can confidently say that their matcha was excellent. It was not bitter but really umami-rich, which went so well with the earthy-sweet ube base. Their cream croissant was pretty good too. The cafe was a little bit too crowded, but it was not a problem for me. Highly recommend if you like matcha!

bring back the banana bread matcha!! i love coming here whenever i visit FL though, the staff is so nice and the variety of flavors is awesome. just tried the gingerbread matcha, not as banger as the banana bread one, but a good holiday substitute in the meanwhile as i wait for the return of the banana
